Who we are
Alex Stobart MA(Hons) ICAEW – Tutor
Alex has worked in the public sector for the Scottish government as an Assistant Director of Finance, and in various operational finance positions for Allied Domecq plc, Applied Materials Inc and Hazlewood Foods plc. He has a degree in Economics and Law from Edinburgh University and is an ICAEW member. Speaking fluent French, he is interested in export opportunities for Scotland, and runs a holiday tourism business and links with South African and Kenyan charity work. On the social enterprise side, he is involved as Treasurer of Greener Leith, the Scottish branch of Stand to Reason that campaigns on mental health issues, and enjoys projects that create public value.
